Dragon English is a group of bilingual individuals sharing one purpose - to make English fun and accessible to fellow non-native speakers.

Dragon English is a home-based, small study group style service all about having a good time whilst learning. Lessons will be about learning and having fun through themes - English of traveling, English for sounding smart in class, English for making friends, English to make a sale! English comes alive through a smile and a laugh! This program also aims to help students score well for the IELTs test through confidence in using the language.

Programs

There are two key programs with Dragon English designed to help our friends and students gain confidence in the use and application of the English language. As our trainers are bilingual in Mandarin and English, students can also expect to have gain a deeper and broader understanding of the language in context with Mandarin.

Nature of Program

This program is aimed at communication skills, and will enable students to read, write, listen and speak English with confidence in a variety of communicative situations. Two hours per session.

>>> IELTS CONFIDENCE BUILDING PROGRAM
Nature of Program

This is aimed for students who wish to improve their scoring potential for the IELTS test. It focuses on exam techniques for the four parts of the IELTS test - Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Students will learn techniques in order to gain confidence in the test and attempt mock tests to simulate the actual test. A total of of either 8 (4 lessons) or 16 hours (8 lessons) are devoted to this program.

About Us

Bob Tan

Bob comes from a multicultural sunny island set in the sea. Bob recently completed a Masters program in communication and media studies at Monash University and is now in the midst of preparing for PhD study in the field of China's international relations. Professionally, he has six years lecturing experience back home in the field of communication practice and technology for the arts in a multicultural environment at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore. He has lectured and facilitated subjects ranging from technical to creative writing, presentation skills, resume writing and intercultural communication. In addition, Bob is a certified problem-based learning facilitator which means one thing - activities and fun rule over boring textbooks! Bob also recently scored an 8.5 average for the IELTs test, and is a competent communicator using both English and Chinese. He is also able to speak Cantonese.
